Questions people ask before hiring me.
Scope, budget and the first step.
How much does a website cost?
A landing page is $500, a business website is $2,000 and a premium custom website is $3,000. The business website includes 2 to 5 connected pages. I agree the deliverables and fixed price with you before work starts; additional features belong in the quote.
See every price and included scopeHow long will my project take?
Timeline comes with your fixed quote. The schedule depends on the pages, features, integrations and content you have ready. I share a demo link every week while I build, so you can review progress and flag changes.
How do I pay?
I accept Zelle, Cash App, bank transfer. 50% to start and 50% at launch. Larger builds are split into milestones. The quote sets out the payment schedule before the project starts.
Will I get a written agreement?
Yes. The deliverables, fixed price, payment milestones and timeline are agreed in writing before work starts. If you need something outside that scope, I confirm the change and its price before building it.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes, I can review an NDA before you share confidential project information. Mention it in your first message and send the agreement for review before sending the private details.
The build. The handoff. What comes next.
Do I own the code when the project is finished?
You own the domain and every account, and the code on custom builds. Custom builds include repository handoff in the agreed scope. For Shopify, your store account and domain stay in your name; Shopify owns the platform and a purchased theme is licensed for one store.
Can you maintain my website after launch?
Yes. Site Care is $99/mo and Care+ is $199/mo, including eligible WordPress sites. I review the site first and quote any cleanup separately. Supported hosting and current, client-paid plugin licenses are required. Both plans include backup restoration and a response within one business day. The maintenance page lists update schedules, backups and monthly editing allowances. There is no 24/7 on-call service; hacked-site recovery, server migrations and other complex incidents have their own quote.
Explore website maintenanceDoes my website include SEO?
Yes, website packages include page titles and search descriptions. I build the agreed pages with a clear structure; additional search work is scoped separately. Search placement also depends on your content, competition and factors beyond the build.

The build starts from $2,400, with model usage billed separately at cost. The quote defines the information it can use, the channel, the workflow and when a person takes over. I explain the expected usage costs for that scope before work starts.
Explore AI agents and chatbotsHave you published an iPhone app on the App Store?
Yes. 2 apps on the App Store: Decalker and Linkbuk. These are my own products, and their case studies include public App Store links. For a client project, the app scope includes submission support; the store makes the review decision.
See iPhone app developmentDo you work with Shopify or WordPress?
Yes. I set up Shopify stores from $1,000 and build WordPress sites using the existing $500 to $3,000 website tiers. WordPress work starts with a healthy installation and a small, agreed scope. Hosting recovery, plugin replacement and legacy rebuilds are quoted separately. WordPress care is available after a site review.
Compare Shopify and WordPress scopeCan you work on my existing WordPress website?
Yes, after reviewing the installation and scope. A healthy site with a small, agreed scope can use the published website tiers when you need to keep editing in WordPress. Hosting recovery, plugin replacement and legacy cleanup are quoted separately. Moving from WPBakery to Elementor is a rebuild under the website tiers, not a tool swap. WordPress care is available after review.

Are you based in New York, and do you work remotely?
Based in the Bronx, New York City. I work remotely with clients across NYC and beyond. Project conversations, demos and reviews happen online.
Meet Raphael SallesWhich languages do you speak?
I work in English and Portuguese. You can use either language in your brief and during the project. This website is in English; additional languages for your own site are a separate scope.
What kinds of work do you not take on?
I do not take equity-only projects or hourly staff positions. I work on paid projects with agreed deliverables and a fixed quote. If your request does not fit, I will say so before work begins.
How do I get started?
Send a short brief through the contact form or email hi@raphy.dev. Include what the business does, what you need the website or app to do, and your current URL if you have one. I reply within one business day.
